Hi everyone, I would like to add a 3rd antenna to my laptop to work with the Intel Ultimate 6300n wireless card, the laptop I'm currently using is the Sony Vaio - VPCF115/FM.

I have searched the forum to only come up with very little info. if someone could lead me in the right direction on where I could purchase the antennas and if someone has info on how to install them for my model this would be a great help. Thanks

I once did that on a Dell Inspiron, I had to install the antenna inside the lcd screen (behind the bezel) it was scary, but looking back - it was fairly easy.

just checked the site I ordered from , they have some new interesting products, check that out :

Laptop Internal Aerial Antenna U.Fl plug connector -Electrically Isolated -easy installation no need to open the Base or LCD OxfordTEC.com

according to them the antenna is flexible enough to be installed inside the mini PCIe Chamber, though i'm not sure how much room is inside your Vaio for that.

let us know how that went, i'm considering the same for my CA series.

Would be interested in that as well, this 3rd antenna was only available in some AO and JP models. The antenna (original sony part) that would fit in our VPC-Z's:

    Part-No. 1-754-689-11
    ANTENNA (WLAN MIMO)

This antenna does not go inside the screen bezel as the other two, it has a special gap on the motherboard on the left side near the HDMI port. Installation should be very easy. Picture here:

Thanks Guys for the helpful info given above, I have been a little nervous about doing this, without some kind guide on my laptop model. I haven't really been able to find any sort of guide through Google to help with the installation process so I'm very curious about doing it now.
