    Hi,
I wiped clean my laptop and installed windows 7 on my laptop. I have spent nearly over 7+ hours trying to get the stupid fn keys and s1/s2 keys working to no avail. I have followed the instructions listed on the laptop's drivers' site http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/sup...&template_id=1.
However some of the drives listed on the site, are not even listed in the windows 7 operating system page, but are listed in the xp and vista drivers pages. Unfortunately not all the fn keys are working, i am able to get the Fn + f2-f4 keys working, but the f5-f7 + f10 etc... keys dont work. I've wrecked my head trying to get them to work, and these functions are very important for me.

Please is there somebody, who can show me how to get this working again, It really should not be this difficult to install..

Plus my bluetooth doesnt want to run,
also I just want to mention that when i run some of the updates, it tells me 'that it's incompatible' so i try to run it in different modes; vista/xp and it wont work.

    Someone please help!

Download the original utilities and drivers pack for your model from Sony. There are some utilities that you will need to instal. I think they are Sony Shared Library, Sony Video shared library, Vaio Event Service. Then reboot and the buttons should work (including cd eject).

I've tried them all, however one of the problems is that when i try to install Sony shared library it only installs partially, i get the 'did this program install problem' message.

Try the guide in my signature. You will probably need to start fresh though just to be sure, but you should be able to get it working with the guide.

Sometimes with the Sony programmes it is necessary to try to install them more than once.

Some will cycle install and uninstall, you have to pay attention. Some also will uninstall, but only partially. The order is also important, at least the first time you install them.
