I've got Vaio SR490CTO and I've got a problem with its Bluetooth.

Issue 1. "bluetooth service error an error occurred while windows was saving your settings. the bluetooth device might be unplugged" somehow it was repaired.

Issue 2. BT is turned on, when I search - I can't find any devices. I've tried connecting my my Vaio from a Nokia phone, Vaio showed up but after entering a passcode it gave me error that it can't pair.

I've tried using Bluetooth drives that were provided by Sony but after installing them Vista detected them as Bluetooth Generic ... So I installed "WIDCOMM Bluetooth Software" It detected it and installed the latest driver and it showed up as "ALPS-UGPZ9-BCM2046"

I'm so :( . What should I do to make it work? Please do you have any suggestions?

Any help would be appreciated. :)

Finally RESOLVED Thanks to Sony eSupport!
I restored my C: drive using Vaio Recovery center. And it's working ok - for now :)
