    Help with connecting to HDTV

    im trying to connect my VGN-NS240E to my RCA 40in HDTV but it flashes on for a moment and then flashes off and says unsupported, im using the VGA 15 pin connection. if anyone could help id very much appreciate it!!!

    you are running it at the wrong resolution..

    Is you tv 720p or 1080p

    1080p do i need to change it down to 720p?

    no you need to run it @ 1920x1080 resolution

    how do i change that setting? do i right click and go to graphic properties?

    yup right click on your desktop then click settings then click extend onto montior and select the resolution
