    Help with the wirless

    Hey....um i just got the Sony Viao ((VGN-C140g)) with XP.....and i need some help with the wireless....

    In the lower right corner the green LAN switch is on and i have enabled the 2.4 GHz Wirless LAN and the 5GHz Wirless LAN...and....i dont know what else to do next....cause i wasent able to get online..nor was i able to find my own network....am i doing something wrong..or is there something that i have to install or enable before any of this....well any help will be GREAT

    use 2.4 only. other than that you need to make sure your router is setup properly if using one. that I am not good at.

    What kind of wireless router are you trying to connect to? If it is b, g, or n - make sure you select 2.4 on your vaio wireless lan. If it is a - make sure to select 5. Do not select both as you can not use both at the same time.

    Also, check to make sure that you have the correct SSID name and password (if the network is using some sort of encryption).

    Should work after these you check and fix those items...
