    Hello

    i'm a happy owner of a SZ Vaio, but when i discovered that I had left my wireless card in the machine so open (all ports where opend) i got spam and I pressed the "Back to Defalut" button in the wireless settings. Now what i dident realize whas that, by pressing that and say ´"ok", that it would delete my entire wirelless info. So after 2 hourses of trying to gain acsses through the wireless, i reinstalled the software which was in the recovery. What then happend was that it couldent find the card, and now it tells me that there is no Wireless card, but i have the software!!!

    PLz somebordy help me! I'm desperate! Do I have to go the long way óf formating the machine or is there a better way?

    Have you made the backup DVDs yet? After you make those, you should be able to insert the first DVD and choose to install the wireless utility component.

    You could always get it on the Sony Support website, go intro control panel select VAIO Central and from there you should get the website to support where you can download the drivers.

    i havent createt the recovery disk, because i wanna try every thing before i do such thing (i hear it's hell)

    Anyway, i tryed to use the "original" software on the laptop, and the first time it found the Wireless card, but couldent finde the softeware to install it. I thought that i just could find it later, but then it turned up that it now cant find the card (it's not in the "Connection folder" folder or any where els on the laptop)

    I then thought that i could reinstall the software (again), but it says that there isent enough HD (still 49 GB left!)

    I'm trying to DL the software from SONY now, so i hope that helps :)

    UPDATE:::

    YES!!!! It has just found my Wireless card! Im so great full people!!! TTHX!!!!!!! Now, i just doent have a wireless router or anything, but since i cant test if it works (the settings), any know how to check it "off wireless"?

    But still thx so much!!!!!

    If you mean that you'd like to turn off the wireless capabilities, then yes, you can use the hard switch right beside the power button. This will disable all wireless, including Wifi and Bluetooth.
