hey guys, i just recently purchased a Creative Labs Sound Blaster for my Sony PCV-RX550

i constantly keep on uninstalling my onboard sound but it keeps coming back - it will redetect as 'new hardware' i can't get rid of it[ :(!]

    any suggestions?

things i've done so far: uninstalled the drivers both in normal/safe mode along with the other drivers

    i'm all out of ideas[:I]

TO ARRIVE AT THE TRUTH, WE HAVE TO REASON CORRECTLY.

    Instead of uninstalling, disable it.

Did you just disable it or uninstall it as well? Every time you uninstall it, Windows will try to reinstall the drivers and in the process loose all user settings including the disabled status. Therefor you need to disable it only.
