So I did a clean Win7 install (Pro 65) on my new Y-Series.

Everything works accept for the WiFi/Bluetooth.

The drivers appear to be installed correctly in the DM but it's like the front ON-OFF slider switch seems to do nothing.

    Help?

Edit: They both worked fine before the clean install.

Weird. So I installed Sony® Notebook Utilities and it seemed to have fixed my wifi/bt problem only to give me one with the battery...

I now get this freaking error:

Well, I found the "fix" to the battery issue...IBS service whatever in MSCONFIG.

But it's like ! Format > clean install > install proper drivers...this is not suppose to be rocket science, Sony.

Now I know why some of you care about order of install so much!

Its because Sony uses a combination of libraries and drivers. With certain driver having dependencies on the libraries. Sony even has info about this on their support websites.

Every Sony model I have had for the past ten years starting with a Z505, through the FZ model I have today, have had a "OS re-installation guide" published on the Sony eSupport web site. These guides all specified a particular sequence in which the libraries and drivers needed to be installed, because of the dependencies.

Can you please link to the page on Sony's site that has this guide for an older Sony model?

I am just not seeing it...

I started over and followed one of the "order of install" guides in the Z-series thread and everything seems to be much better now.

The "Vaio" and "Assist" keys are the only things that don't work as they did but I don't care.
