    Hi! i'm new in this forum, I'm italian and sorry for my bad english!
    anyway..

    I've bought an american model: SZ670N/C.

    I've some issues with drivers. I can't find the correct version of driver i need for thi model. On the sony-vaio support site it's not present the model, although i have inserted the S/N

    for esample i can't install the webcam, the finger-scanner, and the video card driver

    So if anyone can help me i remine :)

    welcome to the forums, have you contacted Sony regarding this, are you under any type of warranty?

    Google can be very helpful if you input the model # and keyword "drivers" - otherwise you will have to post more info on your system on here for specific drivers etc.

    Installing XP or Vista?

    Drivers for any SZ6 will work. The different model numbers are just different regions or configurations where the only difference is CPU speed, HDD size and RAM. All other hardware is the same.

    You could use the drivers from the SZ7 driver pack. I think only the Bluetooth adapter is a different model from the SZ6. All other drivers should work.

    thnx for replyes... the sz7 drivers pack are available for the sz6 series? I'i'm using vista x64

    Can you help me finding the Geforce 8400 GS video card driver? it's good for x64 or the SO must to be x86 ? 'cause unfortunatlu there is not present in device manager.

    - the geforce video card is missing (i've tryed turn the the selector both to speed and stamina)
    - is missing the webcam driver
    - missing the finger scanner
    - it's not viewed but the FN key like vol, brightless, not workin
    - there are 2 "periferiche sconosciute" - unkowned in order:

    I've see that after formatting in the boot screen or when i'm loading a vista dvd, the screen is not centered, have smooth and big caracters. It's seems the geforce is lacks driver...

    Just another question:
    The laptop was in exposition and the battery is gone...
    Can you post me a link to a expensibe shop where can buy an original battery for the SZ6?
    I'm searching but the prices are hiiigh.
    What do u think about an original battey versus an compatible?

    I'v tried to email to Sony for a restore disk for my laptop... Waiting i guess it'll fine...
