    Hi Folks,
I have a Sony Vaio S5 notebook. I made clean install of Windows XP, but after that installation, i cannot activate the hibernation option in Control Panel->Power Management. When i click the hibernation option, the system warns me as the file is used by another application. I am waiting your suggestions,

    Thank you

I have experanced this issue if a Virtual dvd/cd drive application has been installed prior to activating Hibernation. The application DAEMON has caused this issue for me on several systems.

The fix is to uninstall this type of application. Then activate Hibernation and reinstall the application.

Worked for me, hope it corrects your issue also.

    :)
