I bought my laptop few days ago and I want to return it. According to Sonystyle, I have a right for that in 30 days, but I can't pursue it. The customer service of Sony is horrible. Their number is supposed to be 08456000124, when you call them, you have to wait few minutes to enter your information, then listen to what they speak and after that you wait again for somebody to speak with you and in the end they say, they are responsible for repairs, not for Sonystyle returns of laptops. I hate them so much !!! I am not gonna spend one more pound for the calling, it's useless. And the only e-mail response that I have received was again that they are responsible for repairs and I should contact the retailer. I contacted [email protected] and [email protected] and I have just received that I should contact my retailer. But what the hell is the retailer's e-mail? Now, this whole service has annoyed me pretty much and if I am not gonna receive a refund I will make negative word of mouth on the internet about Sony Vaio laptops forever !!!

So please, write what e-mail I should contact to receive some proper response or how should I push Sony for a point of contact regarding the matter of returning laptop. Thanx.

Sound's like you bought this on-line and you don't have a clue who to get in touch with to return it

    Suggestions
Look for a receipt as you may find a email contact number
Use the phone number you used to buy this to inquire from the sales rep what to do

I bought it via the Sonystyle, not via phone. I have tried to contact them on their e-mails, but either they haven't responded or they sent me response that they are responsible only for repairs and I should contact retailer. Now I don't know who should I write e-mail to, so that I can receive proper reply.

I had the same problems with the EU Sonystyle. Nobody cares and want to be responsible. I got a contact for you which might help you. You got a PM.

EDIT: You cant receive my PM anyhow. Please check your settings in your user CP.

Try and contact them via chat which is of course free.
I don't know what laptop you bought but the link to the chat can be found on the support site for your model.
    VAIO : Sony Europe
You need to enter in your serial number to access it.
I've arranged a pick up before over chat.

I would also try calling the sales phone number.

There are perhaps ways you can approach this situation that will get you a proper respondent on the phone and allow you to make your return. That being said, you touch on an important point that has been mentioned many times before: Sony does not have good customer service. Not in the USA, and apparently not in the EU. I agree with pyr0 that the culture at this organization is one in which passing off responsibility is the norm and the goal. Despite my high level of satisfaction with their products themselves, I will not buy Sony in the future because of their poor customer service.

I edited out your serial number as you shouldn't really leave that on a forum. In my post above click on the linked vaio link and it will take you to the support page. Log in with your serial number, 8 on the bottom 5xxxxxx and 7 on top. The chat link isn't there now. It could be that it only works 9-5 so try tomorrow or they could have removed it.
You can send them an email via the support pages also. They also have a different contact number listed.

The chat is only concerned with the repairs and not returns for Sonystyle. I also wrote the e-mail, but I have received no response.

Hmm. I've had the opposite experience. Good customer service, but terrible driver support and instructions.

I'm gonna sell the notebook to somebody else, I can do it for the original price in my home country, because Sony Vaio is more expensive there.

It worked out in the end

Consider buying your next laptop from a regular retail store where you have a chance to check them out properly

    + the ease of return
