Hello all, first post here. Hopefully somebody here could have an idea of what I can do next.

My company recently decided to purchase about 25 Sony VGN-SZ330p's. Well these have turned out to be in my oppinion a very low quality consumer based unit with many design flaws.

    So here are my issues.

Basically my laptop will blue screen whenever I mess with the resolution while docked. Also, my screen would turn shades of CMYK. I know these issues are specific to the computer because I have swaped monitors, cables & docks. I know the color change issue is usually a lose pin or cable but since I ruled out the external hardware I think its the dock connector on the laptop.

I have loaded fresh copies of XP SP2 from different sources as well as returned the unit to factory condition. Problems persist...
We do use some Active directory tools and other software, nothing that would mess with windows but the problem continues with or without our software.

I had sony come out and replace the motherboard & I have used memmory from a different manufacturer. Problem persists...

The kicker is that this issue is occuring on 7 of the 25 laptops we purchased! some are worse than others.

Sony now wants to bring it in and analize it. I sort of feel that I have exhausted all the things I have learned to try.

Does anyone have any recomendations to try before I ship it back to sony?
Sorry for the long read but its been a long fight...

    Thanks all!

Sorry I don't have a dock! Have you try...

Have you try plug in dock and windows update? Usually when windows detects new hardware if will look for latest window xp fix?

Have you try updating the Sony BIOS?

Have you try pluging in via VGA cable? Same problem?

Have you try using different GPU when you dock the computer? (Nvidia and Intel)

Have you try updating the video drivers? http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/

I don't know if that helps. Just trying my best to help!
