Have you clean the vents at all? If not, it's probably pretty dusty. Also try undervolting for the CPU to take some load from the cooling system, it's safe and effective way to reduce temperature.

The fact that it is burning your leg MIGHT be a clue to the cause. Look under the bottom of the FZ and you will find there are air ducts there. You need to be sure that these are not blocked when sitting the machine on any soft surface, a bed, your legs etc. I have a piece of MDO board (particle board faced with brown paper on both sides. I always place it under my laptop when putting it on any sort of soft surface.
The suggestion of cleaning the vents is a good idea as well. There is an FZ dis-assembly guide elsewhere on this forum. Several folks have taken the machine apart and found large amounts of dust, animal hair etc. accumulated in the air system. Eliminating that dropped the temps significantly.

hi, sorry for not repliying,
i have been checking on the sony vaio support website and this is wht i found
i have underlined some of the things, so i will be calling them today to see if they can fix problem as my guarantee is till 24th December this year
In July 2008, NVIDIA publicly acknowledged a failure associated with some of their graphics processors (GPU) due to a manufacturing defect in the graphics chip packaging. At that time Sony and NVIDIA jointly investigated whether VAIO models equipped with this GPU were impacted by this issue. This investigation revealed that the issue had not occurred in such VAIO models.
However, after closely monitoring the situation, Sony has now determined that a very small percentage of VAIO computers with the NVIDIA graphics chips may be affected.
These PCs may exhibit distorted video, random characters or a blank screen due to a failure of the NVIDIA graphics chip.
Resolution
As a part of our commitment to quality, for any customer who requires repair of their VAIO computer due to the NVIDIA graphics processor issue, Sony will cover the cost of repair (parts and labor) at no charge during the first four years following the date of purchase of the models in question (see list below).

You did not answer my earlier question, does it continue to get as hot if you put the machine on a SOLID surface while you play? As I said before there are vents UNDER the laptop that must remain fully clear to allow for airflow. Block them in any way and the temps will rise.

sorry for not awnsering your question, yes it does still get hot when on a flat surface even with a laptop cooler it doesnt help. BUT i when plugged in it with a game on it is at 90c when on battery which is not for long it is at 60-70c playing a game and without a game, it is at 65c
anyway i will be calling sony tommorow if they can, take it in for a health check.
Thanks
Edit: also i posted that note from sony as when i start my laptop up latley the passowrd/startup page comes on and the bottom part is black for a second then comes on.
