I'm sure I have all of the correct drivers installed, but every now and then I won't be able to mute the volume using FN+F2 or adjust the volume by using the volume button. It usually works after I restart my computer, but who wants to restart every time there's a problem?

What can I do to fix this?

**This is a FZ290, sorry for any confusion!**

Any particular pattern to this occuring? I have seen it happen too, but it is very, very rare. Like maybe once in a couple of months of use. And a logoff and logon seems to fix it most of the time.

It usually happens whenever I watch videos on YouTube or Windows Media Player. Like, I'll watch a few videos on YouTube & when I'm done & want to mute my volume with the hot keys or turn it down using the buttons, I can't & the only way I can is by clicking on the volume icon & adjusting it myself.

I also edited to add that this is a FZ290 rather than a FZ190.

For all intents and purposes, especially relating to this issue there is no difference between the two models.

Next time it happens, try logging off and back on instead of a restart. See if we have similar results.

Oh, okay. I just edited it because I didn't want to throw anyone off & because I made a typo. Thanks though, I'll try logging off & back on next time. Hopefully it'll work! :)
