Im interested in purchasing a Vaio Y notebook, but considering its processor being only 1.3ghz, and having integrated graphics, im wondering if it will perform sluggish during heavy usage. I do not do any gaming, but i do Heavy web surfing (open lots of tabs at once), and watch HD video online (Hulu, Youtube etc). Also, i convert many video files for my iPod, and download many videos, and audio through the internet as well. could anyone comment on how would this perform during these types of uses? Thanks

H.A.L. 9000 Occam's Chainsaw
Should handle web-surfing like a dream. Converting files isn't going to be as quick as a T/P series Intel processor... but it should do just fine considering the 7hr battery life on Max screen brightness. CULV Core 2 Duos are very good processors, and they're also VERY efficient.

How about HD video from sites like Hulu and Youtube? Will torrent downloads and the like slow this computer down?

I have the smaller, but similar spec'ed Vaio TT and I have yet to find a video file that hasn't worked on my machine, be it on the net, on my comp/external or be it an HD file. I also have µTorrent running most of the day as I do my day to day stuff with out an issue either.

Thats good to know. I Use U-torrent also. Im usually downloading a couple files while browsing the net, or making music. I might just give this laptop a try. I love the design! I just hope this thing can keep up with my tasks.
