    How HOT(temp.) SZ models get?

    How hot does your SZ model get?

    Mine is fine on Stamina mode.
    But on Speed it gets really hot. So hot that it becomes uncomfortable to rest on my lap. anyone else have a Hot SZ? Especially gaming.

    If this has been discussed please direct me cuz I could not find this topic.

    My SZ2 does not get hot at all. Working on Stamina mode, the CPU does not get hotter than 50 degrees (Celsius). The casing remains comfotably cool. Playing some games with the NVidia Chip, the temp rises but stays below 70 degrees all the time. At that point the underside gets warmer too but BY FAR not as hot as my MacBook I returned because of heat and build quality issues.

    Overall, my SZ2 is pretty cool all the time and the fan only kicks in high gear whe gaming or encoding HDV.

    The reason may be, that I changed the thermal grease used for the CPU. I removed that crappy white stuff and put on some AS5. CPU temp dropped by 5 degrees instantly. Maybe your SZ suffers from badly applied grease.

    Thanks for the response is there a thred/website that talks about the thermal grease?

    Mine feels excessively hot to the point that its uncomfortable to rest on my lap.
