stop trying to make clean installs of vista, only like one or two people ive read about have done it TOTALLY right, and ive read at least a hundred, everybody is looking for some little drivers, etc.

the uninstallers do work! they search the system for anything left, if something IS left after that, is only going to take some KBs of space at most, and that doesnt affect at all.

everybody talks about clean install as if it is easy and convinient for everybody. it might make your computer 3 seconds faster, but nobody NEEDS those 3 seconds, and it sure is a lot more difficuld than just using an uninstaller.

Really? Several folks have done clean installs on the FZ series machines. I even posted step by step instructions spelling out every application and driver and where to find them all. So the number is significantly more than one or two and the boot time difference is much more than 3 seconds, trust me.

Uninstallers are better than living with the bloatware, but they are no match for a true clean install.

I can't vouch for other models than the FZ series, but suspect that all of the items are available. There may be some issues with specific models, but to make the blanket assertion that no one should try is incorrect.

If you look up the thread:

Installing Vista Clean on SZ-330B... in this very forum you will get a pretty good idea. :)

In most likelihood your SZ1 has the same needs as the described SZ3.

    This guide works.
