How are the CB series speakers? Better than those on the EB4 or F13?

I own a Vaio F13 and an EB4. The EB4 in particular is fantastic in every way, except for one little thing -- the speakers are outrageously bad. The F13's are also just as awful.

I don't think I am being unreasonable by wanting to be able to understand someone when chatting on a webcam, but, with these speakers it is pretty difficult sometimes. It literally sounds like the speakerphone from an old crappy cellphone. How these $1,000 laptops ended up with such bad speakers is unbelievable. My girlfriend was shocked to discover that her 5-year old cheapo Toshiba has much better sound (much louder, more clear, less tinny, wider range).

So, how do the CB's speakers measure up? Are they any better at all when compared to the ones on the F13 or EB4? Even if they're just a small step up from the EB4's, I'd be interested in picking one up.. because anything is better than these!
