Just upgrade the RAM from 2GB to 4GB onto my VGN-SZ650N/C and after booting back to Windows XP SP3 only see it as 3GB but BIOS see it as 4GB. Is this consider to be normal ?

    Please advise.

A 32-bit operating system normally sees anywhere from 2.5GB to 3.2GB of memory. Graphics RAM and other hardware also uses the addressing space, so 3.0GB is normal. For more information on 64-bit operating systems, see here.
