    How do I boot my vaio with the screen down

    I am now using my laptop at home and have it plugged into an LCD monitor.

    How do I boot the vaio without opening the lid?

    all i want to do is press "power" and let it go from there...

    You might be able to configure Windows to wake up via USB...maybe. Without a docking station, I think that's the only option.

    You might also be able to configure your BIOS to wake the computer up at a specific time of the day...like 6:30AM or something. That way, it would be up when you get up.
