    How do I remove the buttons on the bottom of my desktop???

    I've looked through the add/remove programs and can't find it. Right-clicking on it does nothing. It seems to me that it is IMPOSSIBLE to remove this annoying bundled software. Please help! If you know how to delete/disable this please let me know! Thank you.

    Did you check the programs... IE add remove? you can also go to ctrl+alt+delete bring up your processes and end some, trial by error.... narrow it down like that, cuz I have never seen this either

    perfect...did the ctrl-alt-delete thing and then "end process" until i found the one. apparently it's called "VAIO Mode Switch". Just deleted it and i'm a happy camper now. Thanks for the help!

    You can deactivate the window in the Vaio-Control-Center ;) you don't have to delete it ;).
