    hey guys,

    when i plug my external monitor in, nothing pops up. is there a hot key or something that i need to press to enable the exteral monitor? thanks

    Fn+F10 for several times

    No, it depends on what laptop you have.
    Both of my Sonys have it as Fn+F7, my Toshiba has it as Fn+F10, and my Dell has it as Fn+F8....

    could also be fn+f4

    one of the f keys should have a little monitor symbol
