I mean really... its sooo anying and when im in class everone has to hear that start up bling sound. I have the laptop on mute but still makes that *bling* sound no matter what. How do I get rid of it? I have the sz360 btw

@ start up goto Bios(F2)goto Advance Tab, look down, it gives you the option to turn off the sony startup.

I don't like any Windows sounds. So I just kill everything and the "bling" goes away. If you don't mind that just get rid of sound in the control panel. Change the sound scheme.

Funny, when I have my TX790P on mute, the sound doesn't come.

Similarly, there are no sounds when I plug in headphones.

I like the "bling bling bling bling" sound, sounds elegant.
When you take notes in class and people hear that sound, ppl know its a Sony laptop..
I just keep my windows sound off because it sounds annoying
And the thing I hate the most is when people turn on their laptop in the middle of the class with their volume at max with that stupid window sound.

If you are talking about the "Start Up" Sony Sound, you can only disable it in the Bios. Mute does nothing. It starts up befor the windows logo.
How do I take off that intro *Bling* sound???
