    hi, my friend spilled a few drops of soda under my space bar, it barely works

    how do i remove the space bar without ripping it off to fix it.

    You don't. Either you have to take the notebook apart to detach it from the inside of the aluminum plate, or rip the spacebar off. Personally I'd get a replacement, or just live with it. :(
