I have a Sony Vaio AR-21m, i'm just curious how do they tell if you've opened the laptop? I mean I hear from some people that they've put paint on the screws and some say there's stickers etc.
Also does it void the warranty to open the laptop? Cause again, some people say no since people open it to add memory all the time and others say it's definately voided if you open it.

    Thanks! :)

It depends on where you are. It's a more common practice for Sony to put stickers in Asia, but you are not going to see any sticker in VAIO sold in US or Japan. I don't think Sony does that in Europe either.

And if you do have a laptop that has stickers, yes, breaking the stickers -- note, you don't actually have to open the laptop, simply cutting all the stickers will do -- does void your warranty.
