I only know how to use the TV as an extended.
Which options do I go to if I want to use it to
view whatever my laptop is viewing?

When you connect your laptop to an external monitor, you have 3 options: DualView, SingleView and Clone. In your case, choose Clone.

Go into Nvidia control panel if you have a Nvidia card.
