How does new Vaio FZ 2xxx compare with FZ 190 series, especially how are the touchpad buttons, does new models also have soft buttons, and any other improvements?

i would like to know as well. i can't seem to find any info on the differences. the only VISUAL difference i found on sony's site was that the FZ290 looks like it's white compared to the FZ190 that is black.

on SonyStyle.com, I can configure a FZ290 with the same specs for about $50 cheaper than the FZ190!!

any other information would help a lot!!

    haha...that's it?

i looked closer to the options on SonyStyle and seems that there is a slight difference in CPU options and FZ2xx lists SATA HD's while the FZ190 doesn't...

The prices have definitely dropped. An FZ290 configured exactly like mine is $2337, whereas I paid $2787 in July.
