I was wondering if somebody who owns a Sony Fe could tell me how has it been and what is the best and worst thing you like about it?

    personally

best = bright screen, pretty good weight for its class
worst = price, sony's customer service (it's been a nightmare ever since the day I ordered this machine. their customer service even makes me consider returning my FE. - and I might do so)

    "worse=price"???

The price of the Vaio FE11 series is very competitive! Comparable notebooks are most of the time alot more expensive.

not necesserily. The Acer Travelmate 5672 for example is a lot cheaper, but still has the same specs. However it doesn't have that awesome sony style  .

Yes, but only very few are more expensive than sony, alienware for example. More notebooks cost less than sony

Well, my FE actually cost less than my M30x last year- £999 vs £1200, so I was happy.

Pros: Screen, battery life, sound (ok, most people complain, but i find it very clear and it's a pleasure with winamp. NOT wmp! ) and speed.

Cons- slow start up time- the welcome screen just seems to hang! Not sure about the easy access for memory on the bottom- flimsy. The white looks beautiful but now I'm paranoid about keeping it clean!

    All in all, very happy

I have mine for a couple of days now and it runs great. Very nice screen and vert quiet. The only thing I didn't like was the amount of preloaded software on this.

I think I could've gotten a lot more with fujitsu N3530 or Toshiba M100 for what I payed
but too much hassle to return it and get a new one....

I am too!! paranoid!!!! I panic and scream like a little girl when there's a dirt on my keyboard!! :(
the FE's color sure looks great but it seems like it will get dirty very quickly!!

Good: Descent graphics card, newest processor model, bright (15.4in)
screen, very quiet, very nice whitish/silverish look, lighter than most 15.4 notebooks.

Bad: wish it had more battery life, dual optional graphics capabilities, and a
    little bit cheaper.

Good: Screen!!!, Silent, Fast, Design, I personally like the keyboard alot too

Bad: Battery life (I wish I could get 3 hrs). Some of the material choices bother me. Sales and customer service reps suck big time
