    How heavy is the Z with the 9-cell battery?

    Are you sure? I thought the Z incl. standard battery is just a little less than 1.5kg.

    I don't know the answer to OP's question, but 1.35kg for S battery is definitely wrong. 1.5kg seems more correct.

    I have the Z with both battery's:

    1480 grams standard battery
    1645 grams 9-cell

    According to MY digital scale. which is usually accurate within +/- 5 grams !

    So, 3.26 pounds vs. 3.62 pounds.

    The standard is lighter than I expected then.

    Also that slight differences in configurations (WWAN, no WWAN, DVD, Blu-ray) will account for variances.

    The premium SZ was about 4.1 or so with the extended battery.

    It just shows how light and portable the Z series is.
