I want to pick up a totally loaded Z, but if Windows 7 is really right around the corner I want to know I will be able to install a new OS and get all the drivers for the hardware. Anyone have experince with this with older XP sony notebook and installed Vista on it?

Check out the Z mega-thread and the thread started by mega-man on fresh install.. it links to various Sony support pages to download drivers etc..

Sony is (in my experience) kinda slow at adapting new OSs but once a new laptop comes out on Win 7 thats when drivers are released for older models gradually.
