    Why not :) 1 went to my grandfather, the other is used as a server at home :) little Website + sharing a printer.

    No warrnty any more I assume? (Was it you with 2,5 years?)

    There is something called a "reasonable expectation of lifetime" which can help if you are in Europe.

    i.e. if you buy a 2000€ laptop if it fails after 2 years you could come along and argue that this is still a reasonable lifetime (excluding parts that wear e.g. battery).
