    How many of the pre-installed software on my fw290 could uninstall??

    As every vaio owner knows, there are way too many softwares on the laptop which maybe not in need~ So who could give me a hint on how to get rid off those unecessary softwares? Thanks in advance~ :)

    HELP~ i don't wanto c 50% of the memory in use even without me doing nothing.

    It is fine to have 50% of the ram being used. Unused ram is wasted ram. Vista will use it a lot in the beginning to index things and load commonly used programs into memory. This will speed up your computer. Over the next few days vista will get faster as it learns what programs you use. If you need the RAM for something you are doing, vista will free it up.

    I suspect most people do not know what programs you have on your laptop. Therefore they can't offer advice. Try listing them or posting a screenshot or 2.

    Actually, there are some detailed guides to help how to do totally clean or semiclean installation (with whatever programs you want) in the sticky. (right at the top of Sony forum). Just follow those steps and I am sure you are able to free up a lot of memory. Let me know if you have problems finding those posts.

    Thx~ I'll wait for some days to see if it really works that way~ then i'll decide to clean it up or to keep it as it was.
