    Hi
This is meant to be a definitive source for Using Laptop Battery as a whole and Vaio in particular.

I Have recieved so many Different and sometimes opposite recommendations and actualy I'm Really Confused Right Now.

    I Want to Know:

1- How exactly should we use our laptop battery?

2- If we are not poing to Use it for a long time, how/where should we store it?

3 - when it reaches 100% in charging mode should we leave it or take it out and store it seprated from the machine?

PLZ Reply Soon Everybody. mine is totaly Empty (0%) in fridge. a friend says it's the right way to store it. another friend says it never should be completely empty and my battery is probably ruind right now.

    TNX In Advance.

You shouldn't run your battery down to 0%, l forget why but you shouldn't.

2 - Drain the battery until it reaches 40% capicity then store it in a freezer/frige

Best way to treat a rechargable battery is to keep it in constant use, charging and discharging. Also it is better if you do not let it stay at either end of the spectrum for too long and at high temperatures. This tends to degrade their capacity.
