A Sony Vaio SR refresh with a wide screen display, DDR3, and better graphics card?

Are these things possible in the near future? I have been waiting to get a new laptop for some time now and the two laptops I am interested in is the Sony Vaio SR and the Macbook Pro. It would be much better to get a refresh on the SR because obviously it will be cheaper then a Macbook Pro. However change is good lol. So what do you guys think?

January 7-10 at CES 2010 is when Intel is launching Arrandale, the replacement processors for Core 2 Duo, so expect a new SR or SR replacement then.
