    How the heck you backup the partion???

    i could see it in my disk management but i cant acces to back it up????

    I copied the whole image of the disc onto an external HDD I had lying around.

    Then I wiped everything and removed the hidden partition for a clean install. Can't remember the program I used for the image transfer, but will tell you when I get home if you ask.

    I use norton ghost for that

    if i use the sony recovery center in help and support and it says create rocovery disk is that the same??? wouldnt that be better instead of ghosting it???

    The first thing I did was make recovery discs.

    The reason I made an image of the whole HDD was because I was going to put that image back on the VAIO if my tinkering didn't work.

    I cannot find the program I used for ghosting but it wasn't Norton cause I hate Norton junk.
