    How to back up Vista SP1 via windows update

    Hi, I have downloaded Windows Vista Service Pack 1 via Windows Update and before proceding to update my laptop, i'd like to backup of the installation file so i won't have to redownload if i reinstall my computer in the future, Is that possible?

    If you chose manual installation, it should just be in your download location. If you did it automatically through windows update (like you stated), then I don't actually know where it is. :eek:
    However, here is the direct download for SP1 at microsoft. If you need the 64-bit version, it's here. After you download it, just burn it to disc. :)
