    Installed the driver but the settings tab is not showing in control center

    installed the original hdd protection driver that is on the esupport.sony.com
    but there is no utility setup available
    and its not in my c:\program files\sony folder

    i cant find correct hdd protection utility for my vaio sz 381

    can some one give me a link to a working utility?

    on the esupport site the models sz3** does not have hdd utility alone or in the description of Sony® Notebook Utilities
    the only one they have is the vista's update which requires vista to run

    tried downloading Sony® Notebook Utilities for series sz4** that has HDD protection utility in it

    but it cant be installed on my sz381 :(

    found version 1.2.00.08140 that launches setup atleast but then gives an error
    STRING ERROR_MSG_VES_EXEFILE_LOCKED was not found in string table
