Hi,
I just got Sony VAIO AW190. How can I check if it has AdobeRGB color management? I ordered it with this option. However, when I go to ControlPanel/ColorManagement/AllProfiles there is only sRGB profile under the ICC Profiles. Is there a way to identify that the monitor has AdobeRGB Color Management? Thanks,

All monitors can load ICC profiles for color calibration. However, the hardware is limited to what it can actually display. The monitor equipped with the AdobeRGB LED backlight is capable of displaying more accurately colors. It has nothing to do with your ICC profiles.

xtrykr is correct.
Your monitor can display a wider gamut of colours, which usually means more realistic colour when used with appropriate software and images. If you're using 8 bit colour (as in JPG images) you might actually get slightly worse looking results, depending on the lookup tables (LUTs) used.
Unless you manipulate images for a living and have experience of high level displays, I'm not sure you could easily tell the difference between a good quality sRGB-capable display and an AdobeRGB-capable display using just your eyes.
A calibration tool would help you tell the abilities of your monitor and would give you a good clue, but ideally you'd want to calibrate a 'normal AW' display under the same conditions, to see the difference properly.
You might get some more useful responses on a forum dedicated to digital photography? -

You could probably tell by how much you actually paid for the laptop. The screen you are asking about is about a thousand dollars/pounds more than the xbriteFullHD, which itself is more expensive than the standard xbrite-Eco screens. I think a standard AW with FullHD screen is about $1800 and the AdobeRGB screen is about $2800. Thants Canadian dollars, but I imagine the USdollars comparison is similar. -
I hate you.
Lol I want one! Sorry I don't know how to help btw...
