I recently got my Sony Vaio AW190 Premium LCD screen replaced by Sony (the one I received was defective)...

I'm paranoid now because on the parts sheet, there's no description pointing out that the replacement LCD has Adobe RGB color management (which I paid a $600+ premium for). I'm noticing that my viewing angles aren't as good as before, but maybe that's just my mind messing with me. The display still looks as bright as ever.

Now that I have my laptop back, I don't want to wait until Monday to call Sony to see what LCD part # is the one with Adobe RGB...

Does anyone know how to check to see if I have it? I couldn't find anything in the Device Manager.. or are there any websites out there that have reference images with Adobe RGB color-profiled images?

    Thanks for your help.

I'm not sure if it will work, but try the Everest free trial or PC Wizard 2008 and see if they will identify your screen model. They won't work on my Vaio, but I know it's worked on others.

PC Wizard 2008 can tell you some details about your display. I've attached a screenshot as an example (in dutch). If you google your product id you may find more.

    Thanks Lattice & PhilFlow -

I tried both programs, but unfortunately neither gave me any useful information about my actual LCD screen - since the driver for the monitor is named "Generic PnP monitor" - all of the information looks too basic to be specific enough for my needs.

    Interestingly...

    It says:

    Manufacturer: SONY
    Product ID: SNY07FA
    ...
    Manufacture: Week 45 of 2002
    Monitor Size: 14 inches (estimated)
    Aspect Ratio: 16:10

The monitor is 18.4" - and 16:9, so I don't know how much I can even trust PC Wizard...

You can trust the product id: SNY07FA

    Unfortunately Google provides no information.

    Hi,
I have exactly the same problem with my SONY AW1RXU produced for Russia: the same product ID SNY7FA and 14.5 inches screen for my 18.4 " monitor. Any ideas?
