Is there a link anywhere describing how to clean F11? I have already seen/done Joe's excellent fan cleaning guide ( http://www..org/images/Sony_Vaio_F11/Vaio_F_Series_Keyboard_Replacement_Guide.htm ), but have not seen anything other than that.

Even after doing that, I was having problems... ended up just blowing some air everywhere I could thing (around fan, in all the air vent holes, memory area, etc.) and got at least 10 deg. C out of it. But I would love to have some way to actually know what I was doing.

Any ideas? Or anyone know of directions to remove the bottom completely and do a thorough cleaning?

    Big thanks!

If you are still having heat issues after bowing aire through all the vents, replacing your thermal paste or pads is your best bet at fixing your overheating problems.

Are you blowing air with your mouth or using a commercial blower like this: http://i4.cdscdn.com/pdt/0/0/D/1/f/SDU200D/rw/af-gaz-depoussierant-sdu200d.jpg ?

Cause if you are not using one of those, you should be, they yield far better results than just blowing, as you can target the flow of air very precisely.

But The way I see it the biggest improvement you are gonna get is by replacing the thermal paste or pads on your CPU and GPU.

    Hope I helped.

Thanks. Have you ever seen instructions anywhere for accessing F11 CPU to replace paste? I have Arctic Silver from building desktops and was thinking of doing that. What troubles me though is that some laptops have a thermal pad in addition to paste. Don't want to take it apart and then not have everything I need. And I have not been able to find any documentation on Vaio F's.

    Best,
