I have a Vaio FW 290 and was wondering how dust can be cleaned out of the vents, out of the inside, etc. Is opening the laptop the only option? If so, are there any tutorials on how to unscrew the FW? I searched this forum but only found tutorials on how to open other models.

Or is opening the laptop not necessary? Is there only a certain compartment I can screw off to blow dust out? What is the best method to blow dust off aside from compressed air?

I actually need to open up my now 2 year old FZ and clean the dust out. I really don't want to have take the 12 or so screws out, but to ensure the dust is actually out of the system and not just blown into a corner I'll need to open it.

Try searching the internet for a manual or instructions on how to open the laptop up. Someone might need to confirm that the warranty won't be voided as well.
