Here is the walkthrough on how to clean install a Best Buy Blue Label Sony

to enable USB Flash Drive Install

    1 - f2 to get into bios
2 - enable external boot and f5 the extrenal boot to the top
3 - save your settings it will prompt you for a EMT boot
4 - go through the install settings up until the first boot
5 - go back into bios on first boot and put the external device down under the hard drive
    6 - continue to boot

    ----------------------------

you only need to download the drivers, and if you do so you don't get the screen flash when removing the ac adapter

1 - only use the Intel HD drivers on the sony site. there is a driver than a driver update. * if you instal from intel website it causes issues withthe internal sensor *

you may get prompted on a few of the drivers asking if they got installed correctly , select yes they did (figures sony doesnt know how to validate drivers)

2 - this is the list of drivers I got from the sony website. other than the chipset and video drivers first. I just started at the top and went down my list. installing the driver than the update

forgot the Ricoh pcie memory stick driver

I renamed them so it was easier for me to know what was what.

I DID NOT install any of the sony apps, they are what causes the issues with screen flicker and such

I'm guessing you're not having the screen brightness issue? I installed Win 7 and the screen is dim and the brightness control does not work. Huge pain in the !

there are a couple newer laptops by sony that have updated intel drivers. I can't remeber which ones though
