    Hi,

Just wondering what is the correct way to clean the oil smudges and shiny parts on this sony vaio z21? And how would you get the sticky stuff off when removing the stickers?

    1. Use neutral soap - water lotion.
    2. To remove the sticker goo, just repeatedly press town the sticker itself on the goo. It pick excess goo up pretty good. Do that right after you removed the stickers, then it works best. I removed around 20 stickers from laptops with this "method" and in every case, no marks were left at all.

Pry0 pretty much explained it with step 2. I would start off trying to slowly peel off a corner and finish by removing the residue with the very same sticker (Pyr0's step 2).

Exactly. It helps to gently heat up the sticker with a hair dryer as well (just a little bit, not too warm that you can't comfortably touch them anymore!), they peel off very easily.

    thanks for the tip :)

i just removed all the sticker on my VAIO SA, and it looks much sleeker now. but even though i heated the stickers up a bit with a blow dryer, the ones on the right palm rest were extremely reluctant to come off. i had to use a x-acto knife to very gently pry one corner of the stickers off the laptop; my finger nails failed to do the job. i was extremely careful not to scratch the laptop though...
