My new s460 is terrific! I am confused about the monitor output. I have two situations. One at Home were I want to be able to have my desktop monitor showing (not as a "dual desktop", but simply an alternate monitor.

Secondly, I am an instructor and use data projectors. I want to project on the projector and still have the notebook monitor on as well (not "dual")

I have tried certain properties and settings which use to work with my old 505 Vaio but s460 has a different graphics card. Are there any function keys I'm supposed to use or is it now all in the desktop properties dialog?

    Any thoughts appreciated.

FN key should work with the repeater mode. You need to change display property for the laptop to go to extension (dual) mode.
