Little do it yourself to change your windows XP logo screensaver to have a vaio logo instead.
What you need:
resource hacker http://www.angusj.com/resourcehacker/
an image editor
First, you need to create a new logo and save as a .bmp file. This can be any logo you want but for this tutorial I created a vaio logo with a blue shadow similar to the boot screen on my N series. My Image Another
The original image is 275Wx174H pixels. So, your replacement does not have to be the same but make your logo close to the original size unless you want a huge image on your screen. If you want to use the logo I created it must be saved as a bmp first.
Next, copy C:\windows\system32\logon.scr to your desktop. Open this file with resource hacker.
A list of folders will appear to the left, click on bitmap then the folder called 201. Here you will find the windows xp professional logo (if you run xp home select folder 204).
Right-click the 1033 inside the 201 folder and hit 'replace resource'. Then open your logo.bmp and hit replace. Save the logon.scr and exit. (A backup of the original is created named logon_original.scr) Renameyour new logon.scr to vaio.scr then copy to C:\windows\system
Enjoy your new screensaver with some sort of logo that randomly goes around the screen.
