I do not like the rather too bright green and orange light at the upper right of the bottom part of my Vaio TT and Z notebooks. Is there a way to lower the maximum intensity by let's say 50%?

Achusaysblessyou eecs geek ftw :D
U mean the power light?

Yes, sorry, I should have been more specific!

would be actually kinda cool if you could do that, but sorry no way
.
Out of curiosity, why would you want to do that? if you look at your laptop from normal view, you only see green "stripe" in the top right corner, and it's quite discrete, only when you look at laptop's side you get green/orange "shock"
Cheers,

Of course it is a personal thing. But last autumn at a conference I saw it caught too much attention from other attendees. I prefer a more modest light. I think this periodically fading light is regulated by some algorithm in the bios but I have never read that a VAIO-bios can be modified.

I know how you feel. When we had team meeting I did get a lot of attention too. For a moment I though it was my look, by then realized it was my Z

How to dim the Vaio green/orange light?
