Does anyone know how to disable the mouse from waking the computer. I have tried the following with no luck
1) Control Panel - Mouse - Hardware - Properties - Power management. unchecked the "Allow this device to wake the computer". Doesn't work
2) Install Logitech latest drivers and does the same thing.
3) Under power management, I disable the "USB suspend setting"
Any kind soul today?

In that case, maybe there's something in the BIOS menu to switch off this feature, perhaps in power management?

when does it wake up? Automatically or if you go to sleep and shake the mouse the light comes back from Orange to Green?
-
@TofuTurkey - I try going to the bios but there is no power management option.
@Treofred - When the vaio is in sleep mode, it wakes up when I shake the mouse and yes Orange becomes green. -
Ok, that may sound weird but try to do the Power Management tab for the Mouse within the Device Manager instead of just the Mouse Control Panel. Although it should be same, I've seen some differences.
Go to Control Panel --> Device Manager
Expand the Mice and other pointing devices
Go into 'HID compliant mouse', select the 'Power Management' Tab.
Make sure the 'Allow this device to wake up the computer' is unchecked. -
I know on my combo Microsoft wireless mouse/keyboard receiver there way no way to disable wakeup for one device only.

@Treofred - have tried that but still doesn't work. All related HID compliant mouse have been unchecked.
