I have a VAIO notebook (VGN-FJ78GP to be specific) and I'm trying to get a "clean" install of WinXP Pro. I tried doing a reload of everything from the recovery partition and deleting the fluff I didn't want, but some of the pre-installed apps don't unistall so cleanly.

So I'm now wanting to install *just* WinXP... then install the extra things from Sony that I really need/want. The problem is, one of the extras I want is Adobe Premiere Elements 2 - but it isn't in the list of Apps, nor can I find it when I unpack all the .pac files (on the Application Recovery CDs I made).

Does anyone know how/where to find and install Adobe Premiere Elements on this model of VAIO?

Sony to be an absolute pain in the ass has set things up so you have to go through the full recovery process in order to get the actually useful adobe applications, for photoshop its possible to put the installer on external media and then put it back on later, unfortunately you can't do that premier.
