I like to have my laptop hooked up to my LCD TV (HDMI 1.3a spec) in living room to play some dvd movies. But I can't get the audio to come through HDMI to my TV Speakers. Maybe I am not doing something right.. here are some more details:

    Windows 7
I use default Windows Media Player 11 to play dvd's
The sound drivers were automatically installed by Windows Update

Do I need to use WinDVD, professional DVD Player Software or install specific driver?

You may need to swap the default speaker in Win7.

Right clicking in the speaker icon in the taskbar, playback devices.
