I know that in the power options you can change what pressing the power button does, but "lock" isn't an option. Before I upgraded to Windows7, I discovered how to set this but I can't figure out how to do it anymore. And Google is not helping at all, lol. Anyone know?

create a password then set power to sleep.
when it wakes up you have to log in.

That is helpful but I meant the actual Sony Vaio power button. Not anything on Windows. -

I'm not sure about using the power button for that, but you can set one of your SR's mode buttons to lock the computer. Its one of the presets your can select under "recommended functions" in the vaio switch utility.
( my thread on setting mode switches).
alternatively you can just hit "windows logo key" + "L" to lock your screen. -
